Girlfriend’s dad pressuring me to marry her

- A.T.

Dear Pastor,

I am 25 years old and I have a concern. I am tall. I weigh 230lbs. Women love me. I don’t have a problem in getting women. I treat them very well. I have a good job. I love cars.

Two years ago, I bought a nice car. Sometimes it is a struggle to pay for it, but I try my best to pay. My father told me that the money I am using to pay for that car, I should be using it to pay for a piece of land or a house.

I fell in love with a girl who was a Christian. She fell in love with me too. She is two years younger than I am. I forced her into sex, and I promised her that I would marry her. After I took her virginity, she cried and cried and held that against me because she said she wanted her husband to take her virginity. Every day, she asks me when I am going to see pastor so that we could do the wedding.

GET HER PREGNANT FIRST

I told my mother that I want to get married to this girl and my mother told me to get her pregnant first. I didn’t tell her what my mother said but I stopped using the condom and straight away she went to the doctor. The doctor put her on the pill and she said she would take the risk in having sex with me skin to skin, but she didn’t want any children outside of marriage.

Her father is a very prominent man. We went to visit her parents and the first thing her father asked me was ‘when are you going to marry my daughter’? Then he asked if money was the problem. He said that if money was the problem, he would pay for the whole package. I don’t want to lose my girl because I love her, and I would be happy to get into the family.

She is my only girl but how can I get her to agree to get pregnant before we get married? I would like you to give me your advice.
