Hoards of angry residents in All- Side, Trelawny, took to the streets yesterday morning, and protested over the death of a neighbour who was shot and killed by a factory manager, who is also said to be his best friend.

The deceased has been identified as Kimorlay Anthony Forbes, 27, pool attendant. Reports by the police are that about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Forbes and two of his cousins were invited on the compound of the Spicy Hill Farm Limited by the manager.

The group were reportedly having a drink, when the accused allegedly shoved Forbes in the face. It is further reported that both men got involved in an argument, and the manager pulled his licensed firearm and opened fire, hitting Forbes multiple times to his upper body.

CALLED FOR JUSTICE

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Forbes was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The accused, who was discovered sitting inside his house, was taken into custody by the police, and his firearm seized.

Yesterday, persons called for justice while protesting under the watchful eyes of the police who maintained security presence in the area.

Dalton Forbes, Kimorlay’s father, told THE STAR that he was still in shock and wants justice for his son, who he says gave no trouble, and worked at the Iberostar Resort in Montego Bay, St James.

A police source told THE STAR that criminal charges had not yet been laid against the accused, as they were awaiting his lawyer to conduct a questionand-answer session.

The killing occurred just hours after a woman was chopped to death in the Parnassus community of Clark’s Town.
