My first babyfather wants to marry me

-

Dear Pastor,

I am 35 and the mother of three children. Two are for one man who was not treating me right, so I got involved with another man. He promised to be careful and not get me pregnant. He did not like to use the condom and foolishly, I allowed him to do what he said he was good at doing. He said he would withdraw when it was time to ejaculate. But he got me pregnant instead, so now I have three children.

The father of the two older children has come back into my life and has offered to marry me, and he is serious about it. I don’t know what to do. Now that the father of my youngest child sees that the other man and I are keeping in touch, he is trying to show up himself and is making promises. My older children are boys and the third child is a girl. Her father said he doesn’t want her to grow up in another man’s house because he does not trust any man with his daughter.

I am willing and ready to get married, and I trust the father of my two boys more than I trust my daughter’s father. Give me your advice, please.

K.R.

Dear K.R.,

Although you are the one who must make the final decision, I think you should seriously consider marrying the father of your boys. He has come to realise that he made a big mistake when he caused the both of you to break up. Your daughter’s father is talking nonsense when he says that he doesn’t want her to grow up in the home of another man. It is too late for him to be thinking that way now. So, again, I say consider marrying your sons’ father. I wish you well.

Pastor
