It’s been almost two weeks since relatives of 28-year old Warrel Lewis of Golden Meadows, Boone Hall, Stony Hill, St Andrew, have seen him and they are fearing the worst.

According to police reports, Lewis, who is of dark complexion and medium build, was last seen on January 10 wearing an orange shirt, cut jeans and black slippers. All efforts to contact him have proven futile. Speaking with THE STAR yesterday, Lewis’ sister, Lisa, said although it is a hard pill to swallow, they are slowly coming to terms that he may no longer be alive and are seeking closure about his disappearance. Lisa said that there have been rumours that her brother was stabbed in a rural section of St Andrew. Lisa said that the rental vehicle that he was driving was tracked and found on a compound near to the community in which he is rumoured to have been last seen. She said the past 13 days have been a nightmare, adding that their mother has not been taking the news well.

“At first she was very emotional about it, but after she heard the rumours that is circulating she has grown emotionless. It is very hard on everyone. I don’t sleep at nights since he went missing. I cry until my eyes are swollen. This is just not him to just leave us like that. There are times when he will go ghosted but he wouldn’t leave us so long. His WhatsApp picture has been removed and it’s like he doesn’t exist,” Lisa said. She described her older sibling as a kind individual who would give his last to make others happy.

“We just want closure. We want him dead or alive and if he is dead, just give us his body so we can bury him,” she said.
