FRIENDS WONDER IF MY BOYFRIEND IS A MAN

I told some of my friends that I have never had sex and they asked me how I know that my boyfriend is a man, and I told them that I could feel him.

Dear Pastor,

I am writing to you for the first time. I am 18 years old. I am still a virgin, but I have a boyfriend.

We are going steady, but we have never gone to bed. He is planning to be a youth minister. I am planning to be a nurse. We have only kissed. I know he is a man because when he kisses me, I can feel him. I told some of my friends that I have never had sex and they asked me how I know that my boyfriend is a man, and I told them that I could feel him. Some of my rude friends said that they will not take such a chance. But this is not a chance business; I know he is a man. He has never fondled me or anything like that. I would not allow him to do that to me.

In two years’ time, we plan to get married. He will be qualified to be the youth minister of his church. Many of the young girls in his church are interested in him, but he is not interested in them. Even the senior pastor’s daughter loves him. But he told her that he has given another girl his word. We do not attend the same church, but we are members of the same denomination. He said that the pastor’s daughter is older than he is and she is proud, and he does not like anyone who is proud. My parents love my boyfriend.

R.T.

Dear R.T.,

Try your best not to listen to or follow the advice of your girlfriends. They will lead you astray.

Many girls who become sexually active at a very young age got involved because of peer pressure; their friends told them how sex was nice and very enjoyable. So many girls have tried sex, did not protect themselves and they got pregnant. Then they say they don’t know how they got pregnant. Whenever I hear young girls say that they don’t know how they got pregnant, I always tell them that they got pregnant because they had sex.

I hope that this young man and you would plan life intelligently and that when the time comes for both of you to be married, both of you would go for premarital counselling. I wish the young man the very best as he engages himself in youth ministry.

Pastor
