Energetic reggae sensation Capleton underscored his love for performing, stating that he is motivated to satisfy fans who turn up at venues to see him perform.

“When I go to a stage show, mi love when di people dem go home and seh dem get dem money’s worth and ‘fulljoy’ demself, or even learn something new. I love to have the crowd in a frenzy – mi love when dem wave, jump, dance, and even though dem a go inna white, dem naah guh ‘fraid fi soil it,” the Burn Dem Down artiste said.

Known for his energetic performances, the unquenchable King of Fire, said he is always energised and ready to deliver a high-tempo performance at his events.

“People know what to expect when they come to see Capleton perform; it’s all about the energy, the message and the culture. My vibration is always up and ready to please the people, suh dem betta ready fi me,” he added with a laugh.

Capleton is slated to perform at Snow On The Island ‘Reggae Energy’, scheduled for Hope Gardens, St Andrew, on February 3. He joked about his intention to melt the ‘snow’ at the venue, and Capleton called on his fans to bear witness to what he promised will be another epic performance.

HIGH ENERGY

“I’m definitely gonna melt di place, because fire is the ultimate power. It’s gonna be the same high energy and a great vibe. I just want the people dem to come out come fulljoy demselves and experience the experience. I love to perform and I love the music and the culture, and most ultimately, I love the people, so I just love to make them happy,” the More Fire hitmaker said.

In addition to Capleton, the show will see performances from artistes such as Horace Andy, dancehall star Jahmiel, Myoka, Shane O, Gaza Sheba, the Tivoli Marching Band and Dance, and The ASHE company.

The show will see the pastoral grounds of Hope Gardens being transformed into a wintry spectacle.

“We’re using biodegradable snow, it’s environmentally friendly; the one that comes out of the machine just melts away. It’s going to be a scenery of snow, winter flowers and branches, and the stage will have winter balloon – a real winter wonderland,” said Marcia Holder, the event’s chief financial officer.

She said that the ‘Fire Man’ was selected as one of the headline acts because he is “one of today’s hottest dancehall artistes, and he is going to blaze a huge fire at Snow on the Island”.
