Alexx A-Game labels movie setback as fuel for fire
Despite his Peter Tosh lines being cut from Bob Marley: One Love movie, Alexx A-Game says he will not allow the disappointment to put out his fire. “This doesn’t damper or diminish anything for my acting career. As a matter of fact, what this means for me is exactly what I said in one of my most well-known songs,
Go Harda, ‘This is fuel to my fire’. By now I think the world must identify me as ‘unstoppable’. I am chosen for greatness, all of this comes with it,” he said.
A recording artiste and actor, Alexx A-Game was eager to elevate his career to greater heights and felt the movie would allow him to showcase his acting talent to the world. However, his aspirations were dashed when he revealed that his scenes did not make the final cut.”
The recording artiste described working on the Bob Marley: One Love movie was life changing. He said that since his involvement in the Bob Marley movie, new doors are now opening for his acting career.
“I got to experience and be a part of history, see what it is like at the top of Hollywood and develop very close relationships with so many people from cast and crew. We all spent quality time together on and off set and call each other family now,” Alexx A-Game.
He said that he has been getting requests for other roles in upcoming films and has been sharpening up his skills and resources to take on those assignments.
The Hurt Inside singer said he has been focusing on his music career and is set to release of his new single, More Life, which he said is an affirmation, a response to my experiences in 2023.
“I lost quite a few people to death including a very close friend (That shattered me and my people, we’re still mourning that loss), around the time I [was] just finish shooting the movie, lost all my music files, was expecting my son and also celebrating my birthday. All those mixed emotions put together made More Life,” the artiste said.
“It was just the worst timing for something like that to happen to me. That was the only time I ever considered giving up music, but that was also the time I realised how much of a powerful and positive movement I’ve built through my music, as it was my fans and family who constantly quoted my own lyrics back to me that deterred me from giving up,” Alexx A-Game said.
