Tatik stocks soar with ‘Fresh Cut’

-

Recording artiste Tatik is experiencing his best run yet in dancehall following the release of ‘Fresh Cut’, a track jointly produced by

Do Di Rite Ting Entertainment and On Scope Records.

The single, which was released last August on all digital downloading platforms, has been getting heavy rotation on airwaves both locally and internationally.

According to Andre Villa, producer and founder of Onscope Records, the track is a song that speaks to style of delivery that characterised Tatik as an artiste.

“You know like when you go to the barber and get a real nice haircut, and you love the look, and everybody just gravitate towards it? That’s really the essence of the single; it gives the public that fresh, energetic sound,” said Villa.

Tatik, whose given name is Kevin Daley, has been doing music for almost a decade. He is best known for tracks such as Strongest Soldier List, Purpose and a collaboration Chronic

Law, bearing the same name, Chronic Law.

Villa also revealed that Tatik is currently in the studios working on a new track, titled Road, which is produced by Onscope Records, One Son Records and Do Di Rite Ting Entertainment.

The track is scheduled for release this summer.

“He is also voicing on another rhythm titled ‘Fully Dancehall’, which will feature the likes of Pablo YG, Erupt, Pamputae, Ritikal and 1ne Portal, an upcoming to look out for,” Villa said.

The fast-rising producer says that since its release, Fresh Cut has been getting strong support in places like Japan, Germany, Canada and the UK. Villa also spoke glowing about Tatik, saying that he believes the artiste is destined for greatness. “He is a very rounded artiste. Great writing skill, and working with him is very good. He is quick and efficient, whenever he gets a rhythm to work with, he knows what to do. I believe that if he continues along this path, he will become another one of the great dancehall artiste from Jamaica,” he said.
