Raw Cashh is trending with ‘States Mad’
The explosion of rural artistes making their mark within the music space continues with newcomer Raw Cashh.
His latest single States Mad, produced by Brainfreeze Records, continues to make gains on social media platforms including TikTok and YouTube. The video peaked at No. 3 on the Trending for Music YouTube chart.
Raw Cashh, who is from Mandeville, Manchester, is quite upbeat about the latest turn of events in his career. He explained the inspiration behind States Mad.
“I shoot a video for a song called Soap Sud and ... it didn’t get the views I wanted, and my brother told me that I dropped the ball with the video I released because it didn’t hit. So that motivated me to go back to the drawing board and put my all in the next release which is States Mad and it worked,” Raw Cashh said.
Raw Cashh worked with seasoned music producer Sanjay ‘Brainfreeze’ Pennant, who is known for his work with several artistes out of central Jamaica.
“It was a great chemistry working with Brainfreeze. He knows how he wants me to sound. From I went to the studio and started to freestyle the song, he said it was an instant hit and he was very anxious to voice it,” Raw Cashh shared.

“I’m more proud than surprised because I know it was a hit from I voice it and from I previewed it on my Instagram and TikTok [accounts] the fans have been going crazy,” said Raw Cashh.
He continued. “Representing for the rural artistes is a good feeling. It is quite overwhelming as well because I work very hard and I am proud of myself. I am ready to dominate.”
