My favourite place in the world is the Isla Espíritu Santo near La Paz in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. It is a majestic island formed of vast desert rocks in the middle of the sea, next to which a visitor feels insignificant. You might see whale sharks on your way to the island, and once there enjoy the unforgettable experience of swimming with sea lions, which are protected here. Finding yourself standing between the immense Sea of Cortes and this desert space is an experience you can’t reproduce. It is a truly magical island that can make you forget anything, a place where you can enjoy the sea breeze and the heat of the desert, a place that will leave you speechless. No one should miss this.
