Mid-autumn Festival, China
The most cheerful festival of the year comes to China on the night of the full moon in autumn, which is why it is also known as Zhongqiu or the moon festival. It is a family holiday during which families in China do their best to get together, remember those who are far away, and celebrate the moon. It is traditional to bake and share mooncakes, which are shaped like the moon, with sweet fillings.
