Kok-tobe Park

If you want to enjoy views of the whole of Almaty, take the cable car up to Kok-tobe Park, one of the city’s most familiar landmarks. The park is located on the peak of the Kok-tobe mountain at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea level, just five minutes’ drive from the centre of the city. The cable car takes only six minutes to ascend the mountain. Once there you can enjoy the observation decks, mini-zoo, restaurants and cafés, a TV Tower,

Ferris wheel and souvenir shops. There is also a unique monument to the English rock band, The Beatles.

When & Where: The lower station of the cable car is at 104B Dostyk Ave, and the bus leaves from 41, Omarova Street to Kok-tobe Park, Almaty.
