Where to Stay

Accomodation in Amsterdam is in demand and priced accordingly, so a small room in a mid-range central hotel will cost upwards of €100-150 per night, and don’t expect to stay in a mansion for that. When choosing your location, don’t automatically assume that you need to stay in the heart of the tourist district as you run the risk of a sleepless night. This is not a problem, of course, if you plan to party until the small hours, in which case the area around Amsterdam Central Station or Rembrandt Square will be lively enough for you. Those who like their sleep would be better to look at quieter streets set well back from the bustle and nightlife.
