Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, China
The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival opens on 21st December, a fantastic open-air exhibition of ice and snow sculptures that can be visited until end of February. Every year, around 10,000 artists take part in creating the impressive exhibits on the Sungari River. The huge landscape of this winter kingdom is divided into four venues: Ice and Snow World, Zhaolin Park, Sun Island and Central Street. Every sculpture is uniquely illuminated and so the sculpture festival is particularly beautiful in the evening when all the lights are on.
