Beaches of Koh Chang

Tourists come to Koh Chang because of its clean beaches, most of which are located on the western coast and at the southern end of the island. If you leave the main pier in the north and start moving south, the first beach you will come to is White Sand Beach. The sand here is not, of course, white, but very clean and soft. It is the longest, widest sandy beach on the island and a pleasure to swim from, as the water is shallow and there is no reef. The water is amazing, always warm and clear. There are many restaurants and bars on the beach, but no loud discotheques, either here or anywhere else on the island. Further south is the small, secluded beach of Chai Chet in a beautiful bay. This is a good place to head for some quiet time with the family. Первые туристы стали сюда наведываться только в конце 70-х годов прошлого века, позже его облюбовали хиппи.
