Flea Market, the Netherlands

The middle of the holiday season is a good time to go to NDSM Wharf and visit the Ij-hallen flea market in Amsterdam, the largest of its kind in the Netherlands. European flea markets are full of antiques and a great place for art enthusiasts as there is always the chance of unearthing an unknown work by a famous artist, something that happens here quite frequently. Experienced shoppers come to the market early in the morning to get the best on offer before the crowds, but even if you come later you can still find many fascinating objects and good bargains. The market is open during the holidays from 09:00 to 16:30.
