Desert Festival, India

India’s tourist-friendly events are growing in popularity, as visitors flock to book in for the different festivals and national holidays. The annual Desert Festival held in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan provides a great opportunity for tourists to get a feel for Indian culture and see the Thar Desert. During the three days of the festival the music and singing continues unabated, but what really draws the crowds are the beauty competitions, judging who has the best-groomed moustache or the best-rolled turban.
