Accommodation
You will have no trouble finding a comfortable place to stay as Sheki is used to visitors. A modest guesthouse will cost upwards of $10 per night, more substantial hotels will ask for $40-$50. But if you are in search of an Eastern fairy-tale world then stay in a caravanseri. This is the option for the truly romantic. There are two caravanserais in Sheki, the upper and lower. Both are historic places, being the original inns that have not changed all that much since the 18th century. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, the reception is open all the time and travellers can rely on being kept warm and comfortable. All this is provided in the memorable surroundings of stone walls, arched ceilings and a gallerystyle balcony snaking round the open yard. Staying here is like stepping back in time.
