Aviation Technical Centre in Astana
Air Astana has opened a new Aviation Technical Centre at
Astana airport. The launch was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and broadcast on Live TV on 6 December 2017. The subject of the television broadcast was ‘The new industrialisation of Kazakhstan: a leap by the Kazakh leopard’. It will provide important engineering maintenance for Air Astana as well as other airlines operating flights to Kazakhstan. All types of aircraft repair will be carried out in the centre, including heavy airline maintenance. It will create 190 jobs and provide on-the-job training for future aircraft mechanics.
