The Queen’s Birthday, Great Britain

The birthday of Her Majesty is celebrated on two different days, her official birthday and her real birthday, which is on 21 April. Her real birthday is always celebrated with military pomp and splendour, with a magnificent 41-gun salute in Hyde Park, where teams of horses gallop across the park, pulling six 13-pounder guns at speed over the grass. There is also a 21-gun salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
