Book-film festival to be held in August

The 3rd Screen Seller Film Festival, where visitors can watch four films and read the novels they were based on, will be held next month.

Jointly organized by local book store Kyobo and cinema Art House MOMO, t his year’s book-film festival will be held under the theme of “relationsh­ip” at Art House MOMO at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, on Aug. 18-19.

The festival will open with “Much Ado About Nothing” on Aug. 18, where film critic Lee Sang-young will present a book-film talk on the man-woman relationsh­ip. On the following day, writer Kim Ji-young, known by her penname Eun-yoo, is invited to talk about the relationsh­ip between a bully and a victim shown in the Japanese animation “A Silent Voice” and its original book. The 2016 British film “Lady Macbeth” and the 2016 British film “The Sense of an Ending” will be screened on Aug. 19.
