BUSAN — With a growing number of Koreans opting to spend their vacations abroad, Hilton Busan boasts a unique ocean view that may help change their minds and get them to choose Busan as their travel destination.

The 10-story loft hotel is especially distinguished with three swimming pools, which was unprecedented before it opened on July 1 in Gijang County on the outskirts of Busan, according to the hotel’s marketing and communications manager Linda Lee.

All three pools, one indoor and two outdoor, face the ocean, allowing guests to enjoy the open sea while swimming in warm water.

The indoor pool, which is exclusively open to executive and upper-level room guests, is located on the 10th floor, while the two outdoor pools are on B2 and the second floor.

Such different locations of the pools allow the swimmers to enjoy the panoramic seascape from various angles.

For up to two adult guests staying in the same room, the hotel provides complimentary coupons to Water House, which consists of hot spring water pools, saunas and spa facilities.

Both Hilton Busan and Water House are part of the Ananti Cove, a luxurious resort complex on 75,837 square meters of land.

Even travelers who may not want to swim can enjoy the seascape in various hotel amenities, including restaurants, bars and lounges and the grand ballroom.

Over 60 percent of the 310 hotel rooms face the ocean, too, while the rest face the mountain.

The artistically designed entrance on the first floor also attracts visitors with an antique chair and a long, colorful tunnel right next to it.

Visitors walk through the tunnel and take an elevator to get to the lobby on the top floor, where the staff will help them check in and check out while they enjoy the ocean view.

The hotel’s buffet restaurant, Da Moim, offers a wide range of dishes from Korea, China, Japan and Europe.

The restaurant runs a promotion exclusively for women, offering free lunches or dinners for one in four female customers visiting there in one group during the weekdays.

Every child aged 10 or younger can have a free meal as well if accompanied by an adult. Those aged between 10 and 12 can receive a 50 percent discount on the buffet entry price.

At Ananti Town, the shopping mall belonging to Ananti Cove, visitors can go to 15 unique brand shops, including restaurants, a bookstore, a coffee house, an anti-aging clinic and a pet care center.

“All of them are hardly seen in other places around the country,” Lee said.

Among the stores are Italian restaurant Volpino and Japanese noodle restaurant Ramen Beravo.

Hilton Busan is 36 kilometers from Gimhae International Airport and 25 kilometers from Busan Station.
