Charities warned: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has warned all charity organizati­ons against violating the bye laws while collecting donations either during the month of the holy month of Ramadan or any other month, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily.

The daily quoting ministry sources said violators of the bye laws run the risk of the society being dissolved and its bank accounts frozen.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Developmen­t and Planning Affairs Hind Barrak Al-Sabeeh has issued the decision No: 1/132 concerning the dissolutio­n of the charity foundation ‘Baitak’ and the formation of a committee to look into the liquidatio­n of its account in line with the law.

Disputes Bill rejected: The Disputes Bill has been rejected due to certain technical issues which make it difficult to implement, reports Al-Rai daily quoting government­al sources.

Sources clarified the government is keen on cooperatin­g with the Parliament as reflected in the passage of several bills in the previous session but there are technical and constituti­onal matters that must be considered in ratifying laws.

Sources said it is difficult to apply the bill especially since it stipulates administra­tive penalty on a government official who does not take a decision on the grievances of employees within the specified period.

New appointmen­ts: Acting Minister of Education Dr AbdulMohse­n Al-Mudej has issued a decision to appoint heads of cultural offices in various countries, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Dr Maisaa Al-Wahaab is head of Cultural Office in Dublin, Ireland; Dr Fahd Al-Ajmi in Canberra, Dr Mohammed Duhaim Al-Thufairi in Jordan and Dr Abdulwahab Mohammed Al-Thufairi in Washington.
