KFAS holds orientation for Harvard workshop on strategies of decision-making
Leading executives from private sector participate
KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) held an orientation meeting for the participants in the workshop entitled: “Decision-making Strategies Under Risk and Uncertainty”, which will be held from May 15-20 at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Forty-four executives and leaders from the private sector attended the orientation session to know more about the KFAS funded workshop, which is one of the activities under the Kuwait Program at Harvard Kennedy School. This collaboration between KFAS and Harvard is an important part of the foundation’s efforts to maximize the benefit from the expertise of one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world.
This workshop is the fifteenth event organized by the Foundation in collaboration with this distinguished institution in the last 15 years of their productive partnership.
The workshop targets executives and leaders in the private sector to strengthen their capacities and hone their skills in dealing with leadership strategies under various types of risks and uncertainty as well as attempts to emphasize the role of teamwork in successful leadership.
The partnership between the Foundation and Harvard University includes several activities most important of which are the executive workshops dedicated to leaders from the business community, both from the public and private sectors, who are strictly selected objectively and according to a merit-based and competitive criteria, to develop their capacity and enhance their potential.
