KU college’s study tour to KNPC dept
KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Associate Professor of the College of Administrative Sciences in Kuwait University Dr Kamal Ruwaibeh Tuesday organized a study tour to the Information Technology Department at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
According to a press release, the students were received by the Information Technology Manager Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Duaij, Head of the Information Technology Planning Team Hussein Mahmoud Al-Bustan, Head of Operations and Computer Management Team Ahmad Abdullah Al-Mulaifi and several other officials.
The officials briefed the students about significance of the excursion, which was to provide them with knowledge of information technology administration in the company and its importance in easing administration processes and simplifying theoretical concepts.
They gave a summarized presentation about the company, its vision, goals and the types of services offered.
The officials said the company is service-oriented in terms of providing high quality services of problem solving in line with top international standards and systems. They cited CISCO and Microsoft as the systems they use in performing tasks, adding that Maxima Company manages the commercial activities while the officials follow up the work flow and procedures via mobile phone.
