Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, the two 70-something New Yorkers who are the comic alter egos of Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, will play a stint on Broadway this fall, with the comedians reprising characters the duo has played in live shows around the country and on Kroll’s Comedy Central series, “Kroll Show.”

The Broadway outing, called “Oh, Hello on Broadway” and directed by Alex Timbers (“The Robber Bridegroom,” the upcoming “Frozen”), is a move uptown for the two-man comedy, a fictional “memoir on stage” that played a successful run last fall at Off Broadway’s Cherry Lane.

Kroll and Mulaney, the former “Saturday Night Live” writer whose comedy special “The Comeback Kid” was released last year on Netflix, began playing the superannuated, opinionated pranksters when they co-hosted a comedy showcase at New York club Rififi a decade ago. In addition to showing up on “Kroll Show,” the characters have also played stage appearances in cities including LA, Washington, DC and Chicago.

Longtime collaborators Kroll and Mulaney will also be working together on an upcoming animated series from Netflix, “Big Mouth.”

The Broadway run of “Oh, Hello” is produced by Patrick Catullo and Marcia Goldberg with Barbara Whitman — who are also behind the current Jesse Tyler Ferguson solo comedy “Fully Committed” — as well as Marc Platt, Pierce Cravens, James G. Kernochan, Jeff Romley, Triptyk Studios, Benjamin Simpson and Joseph Longthorne/Shira Friedman.

“Oh, Hello on Broadway” begins previews Sept 23 ahead of an Oct 10 opening at the Lyceum Theater. The limited run is currently set to end Jan 8. (RTRS)
