Sheikh Salman visits Electronic Publishing Department
Kuwait was among the first countries which ratified a comprehensive electronic media law, says Information Minister and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah.
In a statement to the press while touring the Electronic Publishing Department at the ministry, Sheikh Salman confirmed that the law was published in the official gazette on Sunday.
He disclosed the law regulates electronic publishing, websites, blogs and social media in Kuwait. He called on all electronic media outlets to abide by law number 8/2016 in order to contribute to the growth of the media sector.
