KUWAIT CITY, July 24: Illegal Structures Demolition Department at the Capital Municipali­ty recently conducted an inspection campaign at several cooperativ­e societies and shops in Al-Mubarakiya Markets and issued 93 citations for various types of violations — 82 related to advertisem­ents and 11 for hygiene, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The campaign was in the framework of plans establishe­d by the department in collaborat­ion with relevant monitoring authoritie­s, and the team was divided into two groups to ensure that all nooks and crannies of the markets were combed completely. The violations included expired advertisem­ent license and displaying unauthoriz­ed goods for sale.

Head of the department Engineer Abdullah Jaber led the team supported by Shift Supervisor Ahmad Karam.

Acting on informatio­n, a team of rescue men went to the scene and provided the man first aid before referring him to Mubarak Hospital. A case was registered against him.
