‘Don’t take pressure’:
The Ministry of Health officials should not succumb to pressure from a royal family member seeking approval of a medical agreement with a German hospital to offer medical services in Farwaniya Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the ministry sent a delegation to Germany to discuss the agreement but concluded that it is futile, especially in light of the past experiences of the ministry concerning some agreements signed with international universities and hospitals such as the Canadian Royal College with Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties, Stuttgart with Al-Razi Hospital and others which failed to achieve their objectives and even the minimum provisions.
Sources added the suspicious agreement is supported by a royal who served as a governor, as well as businessmen and others. They warned that approval of the agreement will cost the country millions of Kuwaiti dinars and it is tantamount to squandering public money.
