Personalize your anklets

Step 1: Purchase beads and jewelry-making supplies online or from a crafts store.

Step 2: Measure the ankle for fitting. Select a length of elastic cord approximately 6 inches longer than the final product.

Step 3: Make a pattern. Include an allowance for

the clasp.

Step 4: Attach the wire or cording to one end of the clasp. If using elastic cord, secure the cord with a knot and reinforce with a crimp bead. String the beads onto the wire.

Step 5: Attach the loose end of the wire or cording to the open end of the clasp. Secure jewelry wire using pliers and a wire cutter. Secure elastic cord with a knot and a crimp bead for reinforcement. Trim excess wire.
