Kuwaiti woman jumps to death

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: A 45-year-old Kuwaiti woman reportedly jumped to her death from the 10th floor of a residential building in Salmiya, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the caretaker of the building the woman had rented the apartment just 10 days ago.

The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating why the woman may have ended her life.

Meanwhile, the man who had escaped from the Palace of Justice with the help of his lawyer son has surrendered to the authorities, reports a local Arabic daily.

A security source the man’s son who had escaped to New Zealand is expected to return soon since his father has surrendered to the authorities. And, the Jahra police have arrested a 33-year-old Kuwaiti for possessing an unlicensed Kalashnikov rifle, reports Al-Shahed daily.
