Gang of three Syrians caught for muggings, stealing cash

120 arrested in campaign against vice

Agencies KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: A gang of three Syrians was arrested for waylaying people and robbing them of their money especially after they visit money exchange bureaus.

According to the Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior, officers from Farwaniya Department of Criminal Evidences launched investigations after receiving information that a Syrian expatriate was robbed of KD 11,250 by three unknown individuals while he was returning from a money exchange bureau in Farwaniya area. Investigations led to the discovery that a gang has been stealing from people who visit money exchange bureaus.
