Registration for Arab Social Influencers Award 2016 starts from Aug 29 to Oct 1

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: The organizing committee of the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit announced that registration will be open from Aug 29 to Oct 1 for those who wish to nominate for the 2016 Award of the Arab Social Influencers.
According to a press release, those interested in nominating for the award can register via the website www.arabsmis.ae.
The Arab Social Influencers Award was first launched in 2015 by the United Arab Emirates’ Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The aim of this award was to honor the innovations of Arabs on social media and to celebrate the positive impacts generated by their ideas in helping communities.
The award is divided into 20 categories for both individuals and institutions across the social media platforms, through which Arab communities managed to attain maximum benefit of these platforms and the level of awareness on issues concerning Arab societies were raised.
Chairperson of Dubai Press Club and Head of the organizing committee of the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit Mona Ghanim Al-Merri affirmed that the award reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and aims at finding and developing new ways of using the creative capabilities of youths on social media in a manner that serves the Arab communities.
She said the first edition of the Arab Social Influencers Award had 20 various categories across the social media platforms. She declared that the doors are open for those who want to participate in the second edition of the award in a bid to continue with the course of searching for innovators, honoring their ability of developing distinguished content and celebrating their positive ideas that served mankind.
The 20 categories are government and private sector, blogging, media, sports, tolerance and positivity, community service, education, youth, technology, entrepreneurship, environment, economy, politics, health, arts, security, safety, shopping, tourism and entertainment.
