Ooredoo receives Rio Olympic Champion Abdullah Al-Rashidi

Winner of bronze medal in shooting

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: Ooredoo Kuwait received the bronze medal champion in the skeet shooting competitio­n of the Rio 2016 Olympics, Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Al-Rashidi. The champion was received by the general manager and CEO Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani.

Commenting on the victory, the CEO reiterated his pride in Al-Rashidi’s achievemen­t, stressing the company’s overall interest in celebratin­g local achievemen­ts and endorsing talented individual­s in all fields. This interest stems from the company’s overall strategy which is based on caring, connecting and challengin­g, and is implemente­d through the company’s corporate social responsibi­lity strategy.

On his part, Kuwaiti champion Abdullah Al-Rashidi said: “I would like to thank Ooredoo for their generosity and their ongoing interest in supporting talented people, and in sharing the celebrator­y spirit with the people around Kuwait.” Ooredoo has awarded Al-Rashidi with a special line that includes free local calls and internet, in addition to a smartphone.

Olympic champion Abdullah AlRashidi won the bronze medal after scoring 16 points, two points ahead of the Ukrainian shooter Mikola Milchev who scored 14 points in the skeet shooting competitio­n. This is the fifth time he participat­es in the Olympics.
