Kuwait Medical Students Team holds confab on science, humanity

Conference aims to link academic study to humanitari­an action

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25, (KUNA): Kuwait Medical Students Team in Ireland organized on Wednesday a conference on “science and humanity” aiming to link academic study to humanitari­an action.

Addressing the conference, Mohammad Al-Ajmi, the team’s head, said this was the first activity of the team held inside the homeland, adding that the conference was part of several ones organized in Ireland since the team was establishe­d in 2014.

He affirmed that the team’s members seek to be an ideal example for the Kuwaiti youth and their better ambassador­s abroad.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Adwani, the representa­tive of Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, stressed that the ministry has been paying much attention to back youth and their activities.

He added that this is part of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah that urge officials to provide support for young people.

The conference discussed humanitari­an efforts exerted by doctors, and briefed the community on medical researches and projects provided by fresh graduates.

The event, which includes other activities, was held at the National Library of Kuwait and under the auspices of Minister of Informatio­n and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem AlSabah.
