Steci Golden Jubilee: The Golden Jubilee closing ceremony of St Thomas Evangelica­l Church of India Kuwait Parish (establishe­d in 1965), is being held at NECK Church and Parish Hall at 7.00 pm on Thursday, Sept 29, 2016.

The arrangemen­ts of the closing ceremony are progressin­g with various subcommitt­ees, under the able leadership of Vicar Rev Saji Abraham, Boney K. Abraham (secretary) and George Cherian (program convener).

(K-Tic) arranges triplet program: On the occasion of Hijra / Islamic New Year, Insha Allah Kuwait Tamil Islamic Committee K-Tic is arranging series of Special Programs, during the Sept 29, 2016 till Oct 01, 2016.

Day and Time schedule of each program:

Program 1: 29.09.2016 Thursday @ 7 pm (after Isha prayer) at Masjid Miqdaad Bin Amroo r.a. (K-Tic’s Tamil Khuthbah) Masjid, Khaithan.

Program 2 — 30.09.2016 Friday @ 11:30 am (along with Jumma’a prayer) at Masjid Miqdaad Bin Amr r.a. (K-Tic’s Tamil Khuthbah) Masjid, Khaithan.

Program 3 — 30.09.2016 Friday @ 7 pm (after Isha prayer) at Masjid Mizyad Hilal Al-Othaibi (Urdu Khuthbah) Masjid, Fahaheel.

Program 4 — 01.10.2016 Saturday @ 7 pm (after Isha prayer) at Masjid Miqdaad Bin Amroo r.a. (K-Tic’s Tamil Khuthbah) Masjid, Khaithan.

The following Chief Guests from Tamilnadu - South India shall be honouring and addressing all these four programs:

Ash-Shaikh Al-Haaj Al Haafil Moulana Moulavi A.U. Mohammed Abu Bakkar Usmaani, (Khatheeb & Chief Imaam, Masjid Mahmood, Paalavaaka­m, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India).

Multifacet­ed Professor Al-Haaj Dr SemMuMu Mohammed Ali, M.A., PhD (Executive Director, S-IAS Academy, Chennai - Gen Secretary, Tamil Nadu Muslim Charity Movement and Internatio­nal Islamic Literature Society & Editor — “Iniya Thisaigal” Monthly Magazine, Tamilnadu, India).

Also, the special invitees, the high office diplomats of the administra­tion of Masjidul Kabeer (Ministry of Awqaaf & Islamic Affairs, Kuwait) will honour the series of programs.

All the above programs shall presided by Moulavee Al-Haaj M.S. Mohammed Meera Shah Fazil Baqaavee (President, K-Tic) and the programs shall be anchored by Moulavee Afzalul Ulamaa A.B. Khaleel Ahmed Baaqavee M.A., (General Secretary, K-Tic).

Scrabble sessions are back: Scrabble sessions are back for all to come, learn and play with us at Better Books, Salmiyah, Bldg 19, next to Badur Travel, opposite the Ministry of Private Education, on Friday afternoons from 2:30-5:30 pm. Inviting all kids aged 8 and above to join me and play competitiv­ely with me Rohaina. Classes are held every Saturday from 12-1.30 pm. Bknelled, Euphuize, Waqf, Zooeae are some of the lovely words and there are 200,000 more you can learn with us. But the fun part is playing this wonderful game competitiv­ely. Free IFRA coaching classes: Indian Football Referees Associatio­n (IFRA) will be starting free refresher/coaching classes for existing referees, new recruits, those aspiring to be referees and even those who would like to learn about the laws of the game at IEAS – Salmiya (Don Bosco) from Friday, June 10, 2016.

Classes will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm every Friday.

FBC tournament: Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC) is inviting all badminton enthusiast in Kuwait to join their regular badminton tournament being held every Friday from 8 am to 7 pm at Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, Bin Khaldoun Hawalli.
