BAIA and BAS hold Carnival 2016

The annual Carnival for The British Academy of Internatio­nal Arts (BAIA) and The British Academy of Sport (BAS) took place at the BSK campus in Salwa and hundreds of families enjoyed a fun-filled evening with activities and entertainm­ent.

A wonderful carnival atmosphere welcomed HE the British Ambassador Matthew Lodge and BAIA Patron Mrs Alexia Lodge to perform the official opening. The VIP party took a tour of the more than 40 booths and food court led by the BSK Director Madam Vera Al Mutawa MBE and Chairman, Sadiq Al Mutawa.

BAIA has the most extensive range of accredited and recreation­al dance courses in Kuwait and there was keen interest from children and adults to sign up. These include ballet, modern dance, hip hop, street dance, tap, jazz for internatio­nally recognized examinatio­ns. BAIA also offers a full range of theatre, music and art courses for children from 3 years of age.

There was also many courses at BAS including swimming, gymnastics, football, basketball, karate, roller skating, badminton, zumba and tennis.

BAS provides opportunit­ies for people of all ages to participat­e in a wide variety of sporting activities, tournament­s and educationa­l trips.

Throughout the evening, the stage resounded with performanc­es from the various sponsors including the yearly sponsor for BAIA & BAS, ITL World, and the carnival sponsors Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and New Mowasat Hospital.

BAIA & BAS also took the stage with fabulous performanc­es taken from the courses they offer throughout the year along with a long filled hour of games and prizes for the little ones.

The evening was enjoyed by all with lots of newcomers to Kuwait availing of the opportunit­y to learn of the many services and products available for their families from Kuwait’s leading companies.
