Asian selling stolen medicines in street

Peddling liquor on sponsor’s car

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: The Farwaniya police have arrested a Bangladesh­i for selling medicines at a makeshift open air market in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to security sources, the Bangladesh­i is a cleaning company worker at the AlSabah Hospital.

It is believed he stole the medicines from the hospital.

Meanwhile, police have arrested an Indian for bootleggin­g and referred him to the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspect was reportedly driving the car belonging to his sponsor and he was arrested on suspicion in Salmiya.

The Hawalli police have seized from his car 86 bottles of booze.

Cop, man in brawl:

A traffic police officer and a Kuwaiti have been referred to a Police Station for verbally abusing each other, reports Al-Rai daily.

The officer, not on duty, was in a café off the Arabian Gulf Street and when he left the café, he could not move his car because somebody had blocked his car from behind.

When the owner of the car arrived, a Kuwaiti, an argument erupted and the officer issued a traffic citation against the compatriot.

Illegals nabbed:

The Farwaniya police on routine duty in AlRiqqa have arrested two Nepalese for staying illegally in the country, reports Al-Anba daily. When police searched them, they found four forged IDs.

They have been referred to the concerned authoritie­s.
