KU eyeing ‘broader’ recognition: official
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2, (KUNA): Kuwait University (KU) has recently set a number of goals within its main future plan, including enhancing the quality of its education, reinforcing innovation and leadership, attaining sustainability, and boosting its recognition on regional and international levels, an academic official said Thursday.
These goals have already been forwarded to KU’s faculty members to build the university’s future plan, Dr Hussein Al-Ansari, KU’s president, stated to KUNA on the sidelines of a ceremony held by the College of Business Administration to mark KU’s 50th anniversary.
The university seeks to enhance the quality of education in its various colleges and institutions, including curricula, graduate studies, education policies and methods, and laws and procedures, Al-Ansari said.
He also added that KU also aims at boosting innovation and leadership through launching several initiatives for its students such as building robotics lab, in addition to centers for innovation and business leadership.
The school also aspires to attain sustainability in various academic activities and programs, including the ideal uses of human and financial resources, KU’s buildings, and time investment, Al-Ansari noted.
