Gang of cable thieves arrested
Personnel from General Department for Residence Affairs have arrested a gang of Bangladeshis for stealing copper cables belonging to the Ministry of Electricity and Water, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added, the arrest came after police were tipped off by an unidentified person, following which a trap was set for the men and arrested.
Police have reportedly seized from the suspect approximately 1,000 kilos of copper and tools used in the process.
During interrogation, the suspects have admitted to their crime. All those arrested are reportedly not working for their sponsors but are paying the Kuwaiti every year for the residence permit.
A case of stealing public property has been registered against them.
