Ban on dangerous pets:
Security operatives at Kuwaiti land and sea borders have been collaborating with the General Customs Department concerning the procedures to be followed for people to bring animals into the country as well as to ensure dangerous animals and reptiles are prevented entry into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to a source, the ban on people from bringing dangerous and scary animals and reptiles into the country started some time back but the current procedures include animals that were previously permitted such as dogs and cats.
The reason they have been categorized as dangerous is due to the possibility of the spread of infectious diseases. This is why the concerned authorities are closely monitoring them upon arrival from abroad.
The source explained that authorities will screen them very well and prevent their entry, even if they are dogs or cats, if they are proven to be dangerous to humans due to infections and high level of wildness.
He affirmed the authorities will confiscate such animals upon arrival and refer them to the concerned authority.
