KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: With a frontal façade that translates a rich history and a grandiose high ceiling interior that hints for an experience that will not be forgotten, the Babel Restaurant has officially opened its doors to its progressive Lebanese cuisine and signature dishes.

Speaking to the Arab-Times during the grand opening , General Manager of Babel Lebanon Jad Mounzer stated that the restaurant stands on three main pillars, its grandiose design, handpicked raw ingredients that would insure the quality of the progressive Lebanese cuisine, and lastly the quality of service.

When asked about the raw ingredients, Jad explained that there are key raw ingredients that are imported directly from Lebanon such as Olive Oil, Pine Nuts, Tahina Sauce and numerous vegetables, for these ingredients heavily impacts the flavour of the dishes. As for the rest of the needed ingredients, the restaurant relies on the local market.

He also noted that to enhance the experience of costumers and the conveyance of culture, the restaurant’s key staff members, starting from the head Chef to the front of the house, are Lebanese nationals, insuring that you are not only transported via the food and the ambiance alone, but your interactions as well.

One might say that the market for Lebanese cuisine in the state of Kuwait is somewhat saturated but what the Babel Restaurant has done, is taken the original recipes, with the use of the finest ingredients, reinvented them is a progressive manner, making them unique to the restaurant.

Jad also confirmed despite the popularity of Lebanese cuisine, there is a cultural difference between Kuwait and Lebanon, but the restaurant is going to work hard in order facilitate these differences and copy the dining experience of Babel in Lebanon here in Kuwait.
