KAMCO holds November awareness campaign

Employees offered healthy lifestyle tips

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: KAMCO Investment Company, a leading investment company with one of the largest AUMs in the region, organized a prostate cancer awareness campaign for employees. The campaign consisted of an interactiv­e arcade session open to all KAMCO employees and daily tips about the disease.

The ‘Arcade Day’ event took place at Al Shaheed Tower, where all KAMCO employees were invited to take some time out of their busy schedules to participat­e in the different activities, in support of prostate cancer awareness. Mini game stations were spread out along with motivation­al messages and prevention tips throughout the floor. KAMCO representa­tives launched the campaign during the month of November as part of their annual awareness for a cause agenda.

Commenting on behalf of KAMCO, Ms Danah Al Jasem, VicePresid­ent and Head of the Marketing Department at KAMCO said, “Our November campaign has promoted the need to live a healthier lifestyle and seeking profession­al advice on possible health concerns to reduce the overall fatalities linked to prostate cancer. Taking the time to relax is linked to health benefits ranging from memory boosts, higher work efficiency, reduced stress levels and other advantages. We want both men and women to take action by getting regular checkups with their doctor to reduce the likeliness or prevent these diseases from happening.”

Ms Al Jasem continued to say, “We will continue to organize campaigns to spread awareness about health risks that are leading to high fatalities in our communitie­s. Awareness campaigns such as, November month, are in line with our corporate social responsibi­lity initiative to organize events focusing on health, education and the environmen­t, positively influencin­g our society.”
