College of Life Sciences’ GCO holds ‘We need to listen to you’
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The Guidance and Counseling Office (GCO) at the College of Life Sciences in Kuwait University held an open meeting titled “We need to listen to you” in the presence of the Assistant Dean of Students Affairs Dr Meshari Al-Harbi and a number of staff members and students of the college.
According to a press release issued by the university, the meeting was aimed at listening to students’ opinions and suggestions regarding all majors in the college.

and the students in order to solve any academic problems.
He added the meeting is also aimed to inform students about the services offered to them by the Guidance and Counseling Office.
Meanwhile, Dr Hadeel Eyad from the Speech Therapy Department presented a brief overview about the department, explaining that a graduate from the department is called a speech therapist or communication specialist and will find job opportunities in schools, hospitals, kindergartens and the special needs schools.
Furthermore, Head of the Department of Environmental Management of Technology Dr Bader Al-Enzi affirmed the importance of the department due to the need for graduates from the department in the labor market.
In addition, Dr Ahmed Al-Deqbasi from the Department of Food and Nutrition Science said the department is vital as it deals with the healthy food and the nutritional aspects of food.
He stressed on the growing importance of the department in consideration of the increasing number of food factories around the world, explaining that a graduate from the department is called a nutrition specialist and can work in both public and private sectors.
