KUWAIT CITY, March 13: In line with its dedicated commitment to support Kuwaiti youth, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its strategic partnership with the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs as part of the latter’s Kuwait Youth Day celebrations.

Kuwait Youth Day — which falls on March 13 of every year — seeks to offer support and encouragement to the country’s youth, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents across all fields and areas. The celebrations this year featured a number of activities and initiatives, including visits to schools to generate awareness about Kuwait Youth Day amongst students. The event also included the announcement of the winners of the Kuwait Award for Youth Excellence and Creativity.

On this occasion, Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at the Bank, stated: “KIB’s strategic partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs reflects our continuous efforts to support youth initiatives, given that the youth segment is one of the largest within our country’s population and a main pillar of our local community. We truly believe that youth are the foundation on which we can build our nation’s future. As a Kuwaiti institution, we are especially proud to see Kuwait recognized for its efforts in youth development and empowerment, being named the Arab Youth Capital for the year 2017.”

Najia noted that KIB organized its own booth at the Will Event, which took place at 360 Mall during the period between March 14 and March 16. The event aimed to provide several creative workshops to youth in collaboration with Dawrat.com. He further added: “Kuwaiti youth are renowned for their excellence across all fields and areas. We believe that it is the duty of both public and private sector entities to support and nurture the capabilities of our nation’s younger generations, in order to propel national development and help these young talents fulfill their potential of becoming Kuwait’s ambassadors to the world.”

On that note, KIB strongly believes that youth represent the true wealth and future of the nation. Accordingly, the Bank continues to support youth-focused initiatives and activities, making youth empowerment one of the key components of KIB’s social responsibility program.
