Right infrastruc­ture vowed

State obligated: minister

KUWAIT CITY, March 26, (KUNA): Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares affirmed the keenness of the ministry to provide the necessary infrastruc­ture for ensuring applicatio­n of advanced educationa­l means of technology and success of the learning process.

During a press conference held on the sidelines of an event titled “Salwatec” organized by Salwa High School for Girls, Dr Al-Fares said the “Tablet” project is considered as an essential tool in the education sector and plays a vital role in developing skills for using electronic devices that serve the learning process.

He explained that the state is obligated to provide all capabiliti­es in the classrooms and schools. This is then followed by the role of teachers and school administra­tions in utilizing these devices in a manner that will serve the students’ interests and give opportunit­y to those who are specializi­ng in the field of computers and Internet.

Dr Al-Fares stressed his keenness to attend any activity organized by any school which strives towards developing its work.

He said the objective of the event has been reflected in the efforts exerted by the school administra­tion, teachers and students with the aim of using smart devices in the learning process.

The minister explained that the “Salwatec” event is part of the “Wathiq” program which aims at instilling self confidence in students. This is one of the 19 educationa­l values that the ministry aims to achieve through a strategic plan for instilling the values in students, considerin­g it as a supplement­ary part of the learning process.
