‘Kids for a Greener World’ expo kicks off

KUWAIT CITY, March 26: In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, KidZania Kuwait has launched the fourth annual “Kids for a Greener World” Environment Exhibition, which aims to teach children about the importance of caring for the environment through art.
The launch was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Department for Private Education.
The exhibition runs at KidZania from March 22-29, and will showcase artworks that were created by local children to share their views of diverse marine environments and their unique inhabitants.

Fernando Medroa, Vice President of Leisure and Entertainment at M.H. Alshaya Co, said: “One of our main objectives at KidZania is to give children the tools they need to be able to create the world they want to live in. This exhibition is a great way of developing a love for the environment in a creative and fun way.”
Kids from across Kuwait submitted artworks for the exhibition, and the pieces on show were chosen by a judging panel based on creativity, authenticity, effort and ability to reflect the subject of the marine environment. All shortlisted participants were invited to be part of the official opening ceremony alongside with the MOE and KidZania’s management.
KidZania Kuwait is a children’s city that uses ‘Edutainment’, a concept that combines education with entertainment to help develop children’s independent thinking skills while nurturing their creativity.
