Abu Dhabi Media officially launches Radio 1, Radio 2

DUBAI, April 3: Abu Dhabi Media has announced the official launch of “Radio 1” and Radio 2” stations, part of the Abu Dhabi Radio Network, bringing the total number of stations under its umbrella to eight stations. The new launch, which brings ADM’s number of brands up to 27, underscore­s the corporatio­n’s plans to expand its English-language radio stations.

The official launch for the two radio stations follows Abu Dhabi Radio Network’s comprehens­ive developmen­t of content for both stations to ensure that they broadcast exceptiona­l content that appeals directly to audience interests. This approach is aligned with Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment to offering targeted and diverse media content that resonates with the organizati­on’s wide audience base.

Radio 1 launched on 100.5 FM in Abu Dhabi and on 104.1 FM in Dubai. While Radio 2 started airing on 106FM in Abu Dhabi and on 99.3 FM in Dubai.

Abu Dhabi Media revealed that Radio 1 has been transforme­d to specialize in delivering music content that targets 1830 year olds; while Radio 2 will broadcast content catering to 30-45 year olds, who are interested in music and hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
