The State Security police in cooperatio­n with personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ions Department and the General Traffic Department are looking for two unknown persons for damaging the car of an American, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the suspects forced the 61-year-old man, identified only as Philip C., to pull over, damaged his car and drove off.

In his complaint with the Al-Zahr Police Station the man said he was driving along the Seventh Ring Road. The men riding in a Jeep forced him to stop, shouted in his face in Arabic, damaged his car and drove off.

A reliable source said the dispute may be linked to ‘right of way’ and noting politicall­y motivated. team of rescue men went to the scene and managed to remove the camel using ropes.

The camel was trapped in the manhole for five days without food in the absence of the shepherd. It was taken to relevant authoritie­s.

Syrian Kuwaitis?:

The Interior and Defense Committee of the National Assembly, has revealed the shocking truth about a Kuwaiti family, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the committee the family which holds the nationalit­y under Article One is in fact of Syrian nationalit­y. Some members of the family reportedly hold senior positions in some of the state’s security and administra­tive department­s.

The father is believed to be a Syrian and was granted the Kuwaiti citizenshi­p under Article 3.

Article 3 states the Kuwaiti nationalit­y is given to any person born in Kuwait whose parents are unknown. A foundling is deemed to have been born in Kuwait unless the contrary is proved.

The sources added the General Department of Nationalit­y and Passports has already studied the file of this family to take action.

The sources pointed the file was under the microscope of the General Department of Nationalit­y and Travel Documents for months to match the informatio­n received from the relevant authoritie­s such as the Ministry of Health and the Public Authority for Civil Informatio­n and other related parties.

It has been reported a well-known personalit­y has complained that the family does not belong to his tribe but the head of the family is in fact Syrian.
