‘Look at Korea’
KUWAIT CITY, April 15: Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi Thursday affirmed the importance of benefiting from the Korean experience to enhance the health sector of the country and equip it with the latest technology used by the South Korean counterpart, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
He said this to journalists before leaving the country for a six-day official visit to South Korea where he will meet top officials of health sector there.
The minister will conduct bilateral discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in health fields between the two countries. He will also attend a number of health and medical events.
He said his visit aims at developing health ties between Kuwait and South Korea, affirming that it will follow up implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two nations during the visit of His Highness the Premier Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlSabah to South Korea in 2016.
Dr Jamal Al-Harbi explained that the visit will push towards boosting cooperation in health aspects and benefiting from the experience of medical institutions and international hospitals in South Korea for treatment of Kuwaiti patients.
He affirmed that Kuwait can benefit from training doctors and bringing specialized consultants especially for treatment of cancer and other difficult diseases.
